For the kite shader I wanted to give it a bit of transparency with the object and its shadow.
This is the shading network for the kite. I used an mia_material_x shader for the base shader. This has a gamma correction node connected to the diffuse colour and refraction colour. I then used a ramp shader and connected it to the transparency. Then I connected a shadow transparency node to the shadow shader attribute of the shading group of the mia_material_x shader.
Here are the kites before the shader was applied.
Here it is after. The kites and shadows are now transparent.
