Basic Environment Lighting Test (OTF)

Thax has now given me a blocked maya layout to try with some basic lighting.

I decided to use the same technique as I used in my previous post on basic exterior lighting.

The first thing I had to do was set the colours to the same as Thax had given me in his colour schemes.

I first added a directional light for the sun.

I then applied shadows to the directional light.

Final Gathering was added for the bounce light in the scene.

Here I added a sky dome to the scene for the atmosphere light. I applied a ramp shader to the incandescence of the lambert for the sky colour.

I then changed the light colour to a yellow and increased the intensity.

This render shows the ambient occlusion.

This is a composite of the materLayer and the AO layer.

The next few images show the final look in different camera angles that Thax set up for the scene.
